Flashfinals is a free revision resource for UK medical students. We have created an online library of flashcards, with one deck for each topic in final year medical exams. The structure of the flashcard library is based on the Oxford Clinical School final exam syllabus.
The flashcards run on free software called Anki, which allows the user to revise in a more intelligent way. Anki uses the mechanisms of 'active recall testing' and 'spaced repetition' to make revision more efficient.
Click here to see an explanation of the concepts of 'active recall testing' and 'spaced repetition'.
Anki can be downloaded on laptop, smart phone, and tablet. The software will sync across multiple devices, meaning you can take your revision with you anywhere.
The flashcards themselves are fully referenced, and (once downloaded) individual cards can be added, removed, or edited to suit your needs.
The purpose of Flashfinals is to make revising for medical school exams more efficient, interactive, and fun.
